Saheedah Harris, Licensed Masters Level Social Worker
Saheedah is a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker and therapist at Wellsprings Center for Counseling Services. She completed her undergraduate degree in sociology from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and continued on to complete her Masters in Social Work in 2003. Saheedah has over 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, couples and families. She uses a variety of modalities to address issues such as: grief and loss, depression, anxiety, anger management, family and workplace conflict and phase of life transitions. In addition, Saheedah has experience working with adults and children who have experienced various types of trauma. Saheedah provides Christian counseling upon request.
Being compassionate to the challenges that her client’s face is at the heart of Saheedah’s therapeutic work. Her goal, when working with clients, is to provide supportive counseling that effectively addresses personal life challenges. Saheedah is passionate about mental health concerns specific to women including, anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood related challenges,relationships, stress and anger management.. Saheedah is also a LGBTQ informed therapist. A key component to her therapeutic approach is to develop a collaborative, compassionate, authentic and comfortable therapeutic relationship with her clients. She strives to make therapy a safe place for clients to explore the past, creating peace in the present, and obtain hope for the future.
Saheedah is a mother of two teenage daughters who enjoys doing volunteer work and showing her daughters the importance of giving back to their community. In her spare time she attends her daughters swim meets and basketball games where she is their number one cheerleader.
Susan Spruill, Licensed Professional Counselor
Susan earned a master’s degree in professional counseling from Amberton University in 2007. She has 30 years of extensive experience working with children and families in educational and mental health settings. Susan enjoys working with adults as well as children, adolescents, families and couples. Her clinical experience includes treating individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD and trauma. She also works with couples that are looking to repair their marriage and parent/child relationships.
She is committed to meeting her clients where they are in their life’s journey with compassion, acceptance, and understanding. Her goal is to provide a safe place to exam what is causing emotional distress and help her clients develop new cognitive and emotional skills to overcome the barriers that are keeping them from living their best life. Susan utilizes Brief Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavior Therapeutic approaches combined with various techniques from other modalities when working with clients. She also has a strong believe that counselors do their best work when they operate from a client centered perspective. Client centered counseling is about building trust, respect and genuine connection. Active, nonjudgmental listening allows her to help clients use their own personal strengths, spiritual belief system and inner awareness to develop a personalized treatment plan. Susan provides Christian counseling upon request.

Hope Russell, Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor
Hope Russell has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2006. She earned her Master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her counseling experience is inclusive of all emotional issues, and her range of knowledge results from working with clients in the inpatient, outpatient, educational, and community mental health settings. She has also worked within the religious sector as a counselor, mentor, advocate, adviser and life coach. Hope has a strong faith in GOD, and provides Christian Counseling upon request.
Hope is quite comfortable treating individuals with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, and phase of life related issues. She sees adults as well as children, and has experience with behavioral issues, ADD/ADHD, and adjustment disorders. Hope is passionate about the institution of marriage, and enjoys working with married couples to establish, restore, and enhance their marital relationship. She also routinely provides family therapy as well. Hope utilizes a Solution Focused Therapeutic approach, infused with various techniques from other modalities, in her work with individuals, couples, and families.
Hope and her husband Douglas have been married for 24 years, and are the proud parents of five children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her family.
